Relicensing history
-------------------
Releases prior to the MIT relicense (August 2026) were distributed under the
GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 (AGPL-3.0).

Ahead of the relicense, the source tree was reviewed so that it contains only
work authored by the project owner:

  * The dedicated per-provider AI connectors were removed and replaced with a
    single provider-agnostic AI layer built on LangChain and LangGraph
    (modules/ai/). It still reaches OpenAI, OpenAI-compatible servers such as
    Ollama, LM Studio and DeepSeek, and Google Gemini.

  * Other third-party contributions were either removed or independently
    reimplemented from a description of their behaviour, so the current source
    reflects an independent implementation rather than the earlier contributed
    code.

Earlier commits remain under AGPL-3.0 in the Git history. The current source
tree, and all releases from the relicense onward, are under the MIT License.
